You can find it on blog posts, videos and status updates about workouts, nutritious meals, or healthy activities. If you asked members of the being808 community for a definition of #808strong, you’d get a different answer from every one.
#808strong is really a simple way of finding like-minded people online who are committed to living healthy in Hawaii. A person’s health journey is like a set of fingerprints — each is unique. By hashtagging along the way, we can all share our experiences and tips, and provide support.
Recently, being808 asked for your definition of #808strong by way of a photo contest. People from across Hawaii submitted shots illustrating what the hashtag means to them, with submissions covering the full spectrum of nutrition, health and wellness.
A panel of celebrity judges voted for their favorites and awarded the grand prize: a health tour and $150 shopping spree from Whole Foods Market Kahala.
Being808 would like to give a warm mahalo to everyone who sent in a photo. Special thanks go to Whole Foods Market Kahala and web-celeb judges: Jason Genegabus, Ryan Ozawa, Natalie Aczon and John Garcia.
